Stop Landing in Spam, Test Your Booking Page, and Make the Most of Your Thank You Page

October 06, 20258 min read

Hello again from sunny Queensland! We’ve been soaking up the sunshine (while dreading heading back to the cold this weekend) and enjoying some lovely family time this week — the calm before things get busy again as we get ready to head back to Europe next month. I even picked up some new luggage, which makes it all start to feel very real!

This week’s newsletter is packed with practical ways to make your business run smoother. We’re talking about keeping your emails out of spam, testing your booking page from your customer’s point of view, and turning your thank-you page into a real connection point. And if you haven’t joined one of our daily coaching calls yet, this is your reminder — they’re one of the most powerful things you can do to move your business forward.

Hints & Tips

Why Your Emails Might Still Be Landing in Spam (And How to Fix It)**

Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked a lot about email deliverability — but it’s worth repeating, because this one small step can make a huge difference.

Just recently, I ran some email content through a spam checker and the score came back really low. There wasn’t anything wrong with the message itself — it was just small things like wording and formatting that were triggering filters. With a few quick changes, the score jumped to 98 out of 100. That’s how big an impact a few simple tweaks can make.

Here’s what can cause problems:

  • Words like “FREE,” “SALE,” “BUY NOW,” or “CLICK HERE”

  • Using ALL CAPITALS or too many exclamation marks

  • Starting your email with “Hello” or “Hi friend”

  • Adding multiple links to different URLs

  • Including too many images and not enough text

I know you’ve heard this before — but if you’re still doing any of these things, your emails aren’t getting the results they should for the effort you’re putting in.

If you’re setting up workflows in Gold Star Pro, remember those emails keep sending automatically. You set them up once, and they keep doing their job — which is great! But if the content hasn’t been checked properly, it could be quietly landing in spam every single time it sends.

The great thing is, it’s easy to fix. If you build spam checking into your process, you only need to do it once. After that, every message that goes out will have the best chance of landing in the inbox, where it belongs.

If you’d like to see exactly how to do this, I walk you through it step-by-step in this short video:

When Was the Last Time You Tested Your Booking Page?

It’s really easy to get caught up in the day-to-day running of your business — replying to messages, creating content, serving clients — and forget to check the basics.

But here’s a quick question: when was the last time you tested your booking page as a user?
This is often the very first time a new customer interacts with your business — and it’s your chance to make a great first impression.

Go through the full process this week. Click your own booking link, choose a time, and follow every step — just like a brand-new client would. Notice how smooth (or not) the experience feels. Do you get an instant confirmation? Are reminders set up properly? Is it easy to do on mobile?

You might be surprised by what you find. Sometimes a broken link, a missing message, or a confusing instruction can slip through the cracks and cost you bookings.

So here’s your challenge: find ten minutes this week to go through your own booking process. It’s a small task, but one that can make a big difference to your customer experience — and your bottom line.

Are You Making the Most of Your Thank You Page?

After someone books a call, downloads a freebie, or signs up for something on your website, what happens next?

If your confirmation screen simply says “Thank you, your booking has been confirmed” — you’re missing a huge opportunity. That page is prime real estate. It’s the perfect moment to deepen the relationship with your new lead or customer.

Think about it — they’ve already taken action. They’re interested. They’re paying attention. So instead of letting the conversation end there, why not give them another way to connect with you?

For example, when someone books a demo with us, we send them to a page like this:

Thank You Page

This page invites them to watch a free 17-minute masterclass before their session. It doesn’t take them to another signup form — we already have their details — it simply gives them more value and a chance to learn how Gold Star Pro can help them even before we meet.

You could do the same after someone downloads your lead magnet, books a call, or joins your email list. Use that thank you page to:

  • Share a short video introducing yourself

  • Offer a bonus resource or training

  • Invite them to join your Facebook group or community

  • Guide them to the next logical step in your process

Your thank you page shouldn’t be a dead end — it should be an opportunity to build trust, add value, and move people closer to working with you.

Software Updates

Added Security with Two-Factor Authentication

Your Gold Star Pro account just got even more secure. You can now enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using apps like Google Authenticator or similar.

2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring a verification code when logging in. But instead of receiving it to your email or by SMS, you can use it within the Authenticator App. It only takes a minute to set up and helps keep your data safe, even if someone has your password.

2FA

To turn it on, head to Settings inside your Gold Star Pro Profile and select Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

We recommend setting it up right away for added peace of mind.

LinkedIn Ads Are Here

Running ads across multiple platforms used to mean jumping between dashboards, exporting reports, and wasting time. It made managing campaigns harder than it needed to be.

That’s why this update is a big one. You can now run LinkedIn Ads directly inside Gold Star Pro’s Ad Manager. Build campaigns, target by job title or company, upload creative, and track performance—all from the same place you already manage your Facebook and Google ads.

No more tab-hopping. No more scattered reporting. Just one powerful dashboard for every campaign.
