September Updates: Smarter Tools, Pro Tips, and a New Way to Connect
Hello again from Australia! We’ve settled here for the next month, which feels a little different for us since we’re usually moving at a much quicker pace. Having this extra time in one place means we can really dive back into work mode — and it feels good to have that focus again.
This week’s newsletter is full of updates, so make sure you take a look through them and check the updates blog. That’s where we share all the changes happening inside the platform — including plenty of things many of you have been waiting on!
Follow Me! The Tech Coach on Instagram
I’ve just launched a brand-new Instagram account called The Tech Coach! This is where I’ll be sharing simple, step-by-step tips to help you cut through the overwhelm and make your tech work for you.
I absolutely love coaching, but I’ll admit — a lot of my time gets caught up in the day-to-day of running Gold Star Pro. So, this new space is something I’m really excited about. It’s a place where I can share quick, practical hints in plain English — no tech jargon, no fluff. Just simple solutions to the challenges you run into every day.
I’d love you to follow along, and I’d also love to hear from you. If there are topics you’d like me to cover, let me know. Chances are, if you’re asking the question, plenty of others are too!
Ready to Take Your Business to the Next Level?
Running your business can feel overwhelming — so many moving pieces, endless tech decisions, and the constant feeling that you’re never quite getting ahead. You know you need systems, but pulling it all together on your own is exhausting.
That’s exactly why we created the Elite Coaching Program. We’ve just opened one spot for a six-month, one-on-one experience where we work alongside you to build out the components your business needs to grow.
We start with a full business intake session to really understand your goals and challenges. From there, we map everything out, strategize what will work best for you, and then build your business from a tech perspective — step by step. Along the way, you’ll learn the skills to manage it all moving forward, so you’re not just building a business but gaining confidence and control too.
Smarter Quiz Triggers
We’ve made it easier than ever to respond to quiz submissions without needing a complicated workflow.
Now you can set up multiple workflow triggers and add filters to decide exactly what should happen when someone submits a quiz. For example, you might create one trigger for people who scored high on your quiz and another for those who scored lower. Each group can then receive a tailored response — without you having to build out a big scoring workflow.
It’s a simple way to send targeted replies that feel personal and relevant, while saving you time behind the scenes.

Why You Need a Branded Domain
One of the most important steps to set up in your account is a branded domain — and I still see a lot of people skipping this!
Here’s why it matters: by default, many of the links your system generates (like calendars, booking links, or surveys) use a links.usegoldstar.com address. But when you set up a branded domain, all of these links will use your domain instead. That means when you share a calendar link with a client, it looks professional, trustworthy, and fully branded to your business.
The great news is that it’s quick to set up. From your dashboard, head to Settings → Business Info → Branded Domain, add your domain, and follow the prompts. If your domain is with a Domain Connect provider (like Cloudflare), the system will even handle the setup for you automatically.
This small step unlocks a lot of extra functionality and gives your brand the polished look it deserves — so if you haven’t done it yet, make sure you get it set up straight away.
Update Your Friendly Business Name
Here’s a quick tip that can save you some embarrassment later!
When you first join Gold Star Pro, your account is automatically given a default name. For example, if your name is Karen King, your account will be set up as “Karen King’s Account.”

The problem? If you don’t update this, it may appear in places you don’t expect — like in emails or other communications going out to your clients. Instead of showing your company name, they might see “Karen King’s Account.”
To fix this, simply go to Settings → Business Info and update the Friendly Business Name field with your actual business name. It’s a small step, but it makes sure your brand looks professional every time you send something out.
One Click to Stop Missed Calls
Ever had a client miss a session because they forgot to put it in their calendar? It happens all the time — and it’s frustrating for both sides. You send the reminders, but things still slip through the cracks.
That’s why I’m excited about this simple update inside Gold Star Pro: now every appointment confirmation or reschedule email can include a one-click calendar link. With a tiny ICS file attached, your clients (or their guests) can drop the session straight into Google, Outlook, Apple Calendar — whatever they use — instantly.
No more confusion. No more forgotten calls. Just smoother scheduling, less stress, and better attendance for your coaching sessions.
One Simple Place for Domains & Redirects
Managing domains and redirects can feel confusing — different menus, different settings, and wasted time trying to figure out where things live.
That’s why I’m so excited about this update inside Gold Star Pro. Now, your domains and redirects are managed in one simple tab. With the new Domains & URL Redirects section, you can connect domains, add subdomains, and set up redirects — all from the same place. A quick toggle lets you switch between domains and redirects without ever leaving the page.
It’s a small change, but it makes things feel cleaner and easier to manage. You’ll save time, reduce mistakes, and have a clear view of your setup at a glance.
Know Why Clients Decline Contracts
It’s always frustrating when a client doesn’t sign — and worse when you don’t know why. Did they change their mind? Was something unclear? Without feedback, it’s hard to know the next step.
That’s why I love this update inside Gold Star Pro. Now, if a client declines a contract, they can leave a reason or even add notes. You’ll see the declined status in your dashboard, along with a full history of who declined, when, and why.
Even better — you can set up follow-up emails or reminders automatically, so you’re never left wondering what to do next. This means clearer communication, faster responses, and better opportunities to turn a “no” into a future “yes.”
Track Pipelines Without the Overwhelm
Keeping up with your sales pipeline can feel overwhelming when the system is cluttered or hard to use. Too many clicks, messy layouts, and suddenly you’re wasting time just trying to stay organized.
That’s why I’m excited about the redesigned Pipelines page inside Gold Star Pro. With its cleaner design, you can now track stages more easily, update deals faster, and even move all deals from one stage to another when deleting a stage.
This small but powerful update means less stress for you and smoother tracking for your clients. Your deals stay organized, your time is protected, and your business keeps moving forward.
Measure Your Blog’s Impact with Ease
Blogging takes time and effort — but how do you know if it’s paying off? Without clear numbers, it’s tough to tell which posts are making an impact and which ones are just sitting there.
That’s why this update inside Gold Star Pro is such a win. With the new Blog Statistics dashboard, you can easily measure your blog’s performance. You’ll see views, clicks, top-performing posts, and even which devices your readers are using. You can also track performance by category or author to understand what connects best with your audience.
No more blind spots. No more wasted content. Just clear insights that show you exactly what’s working, so you can keep creating the kind of posts your readers love.
Appointments Made Simple in Any Time Zone
Managing appointments across different time zones can get confusing fast. If you’re traveling, working with clients abroad, or juggling schedules, it’s easy to lose track of what time a call is actually happening.
That’s why I’m so excited about this update inside Gold Star Pro. You can now choose your own timezone for viewing appointments. This means your calendar will always show times in the way that makes the most sense for you — without affecting client bookings or availability.
It’s a small tweak that makes a big difference. No more mental math, no more second-guessing if you’ve mixed up the schedule. Just clear, consistent appointment times that match your world.
